Many that voted for Trump assumed that Trump the candidate in 2024 would become Trump the President in 2025. That did not happen. Epstein, failure of mass deportations, constantly yielding to judges taking away Presidential power, DOGE being a PR stunt and no Deep State arrests took their toll. Then throw in a war not wanted, not popular and not of the agenda.

In the end Trump is an 80 year old Boomer not overly concerned of what this country will be like in the Year 2050.

Trump at least wanted to win, many Republicans seem like they do not, so they can't even be persuaded by losing.

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect Elon to donate to causes further right of the GOP. He doesn’t strike me as a serious political operative; just a few weeks back he was trying to walk away from politics saying that he got too involved with policy and wants to go back to making cars. Obviously we both know the left will never take him back, but I don’t know that Elon himself understands the gravity of his situation. Why do you have optimism that Elon will cut a deal with WNs to save his own ass when he hasn’t shown the political instincts to do that?

People like Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro exploited Charlie Kirk's death to revive their dying careers and push for the Iran war.

They single handedly destroyed the MAGA coalition with their war. They wasted all that political capital.

James Kenny's avatar

No they didn't. Trump let down MAGA with the economy and with Iran, and so they didn't show up to vote for him. "White nationalists" don't have any power and are completely marginalized, they played little to no role in this election or in any other for that matter.

Greg Johnson's avatar

Yep, that's the establishment spin. People who walk and talk and vote like White Nationalists tanked Trump. But don't you dare call them White Nationalists.

James Kenny's avatar

Name me a single "White nationalists" in power? Name me one that was the center of a major political story in the past 6 months? How could you possibly say this is an "establishment spin"? The establishment spin will be that "White nationalism" is what tanked Trump, while the Iran war angle will be downplayed. "White nationalism", or "Nazism", or any degree of European-American advocacy is the great boogeyman in American politics. It's a phantasm, it doesn't exist. The data show quite clearly that MAGA voters didn't show up this election and it's because Trump failed to fix the economy and launched a new, disastrous war, despite promising not to create any new wars.

We don't need the numbers to elect White Nationalists in order to tank Republicans and destroy their careers. A shift of only a few percentage points can do that.

Again, your position amounts to: people who walk and talk and vote like White Nationalists tanked Trump. The most White Nationalist-adjacent electoral bloc, young white men, tanked the Republicans. But don't you dare say they are White Nationalists.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with being a White nationalist, whatever that term even means. Second of all, you seem upset, upset at this great scarecrow of White nationalism. Can you please explain to me in detail how this tiny minority, who has no power whatsoever, tanked the sitting president of the United States?

As someone from Eastern Europe, I hope you will allow me to offer a perspective from a certain distance. I do not intend to impose my views on anyone, nor do I claim to have all the answers. However, sometimes distance offers a different vantage point — one that can make it easier to recognize patterns and developments that may be less visible to those directly involved. I hope you will consider my observations with an open mind.

I have repeatedly tried to warn conservatives and right-wing thinkers in the US and Europe, through my posts on X and Substack, that the most important weapon in the struggle against the Left is IDEOLOGY — a coherent WORLDVIEW combined with a STRATEGY to achieve it.

And what did X do? They suspended my account, while seemingly allowing openly Bolshevik and communist propaganda elsewhere. The only explanation provided was a very vague reference to “inauthentic behavior.”

Unfortunately, some people have to learn the hard way.

You had the luxury of never having lived under communist tyranny. I did.  Half of my life was spent under communism. I suppose that taught me a thing or two.

Without ideology you were putting the cart before the

horse. You have no coherent IDEOLOGY, yet you are trying to defeat the Left through  repressive measures. History has repeatedly shown that this approach only makes the Left stronger. It allows them to portray themselves as victims and  attract sympathy from supposedly neutral voters.

Never underestimate the power of ideology. It can be more powerful than armies, tanks, or even nuclear weapons. In fact, a successful ideology can become something resembling a religion.

You still have two years to develop a coherent ideological alternative. Otherwise, you may find yourselves facing a political reality I have already experienced — and perhaps something even worse. You will soon discover the kinds of laws the Left is capable of passing — and just how vindictive its political instincts can be.

And one final warning: the Left's current political strategy, particularly its use of demographic change as a political force, is something so extraordinary that even Marx and Lenin might have been astonished by it. It is a strategy they could hardly have imagined.

Let me also clarify the difference between an IDEOLOGY and a political party's platform.Political parties change their platforms all the time. Ideology, however, is something entirely different. It represents a set of fundamental principles and beliefs that no politician should ever dare to abandon or rewrite.A party platform is legitimate ONLY AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT CONTRADICT ITS UNDERLYING IDEOLOGY.

This is precisely why your politicians feel free to break their election promises: because only a strong ideology can make those in power fear the people they govern.A powerful ideology eventually becomes something resembling a religion. And everyone knows that even those in power have to take religion seriously.

Incidentally, the idea that those who govern should fear those they govern is attributed to John Basil Barnhill (1864–1929), an American writer, journalist, and political activist of the early twentieth century, known for his his outspoken anti-socialist views and political debates

Here in Europe, the situation is far more serious. I wish you strength and courage in the difficult times ahead. May God protect you all.

Suspended or banned? Did X give you a cause? Their policies are explicitly and effectively anti-free speech, including censoring viewpoints, but they do ban without any policy violation or explanation.

There is a political solution... it's just not in THEIR political system.
