Thank you for publishing your thoughts and analysis. As you state, having cancer isn't good, but knowing it is. Before the process of (effective) treatment, cure, and recovery (hopefully), an accurate diagnosis has to be obtained. Without such a diagnosis, none of the other two things can happen and the patient will continue to succumb to what ails them and worse yet be susceptible to other ailments that they may encounter, any of which may finish them off.
There will always be traitors, whether for 30 pieces of silver, or some other kind of payment. It must always be remembered and born in mind, that personality is highly heritable and spiteful mutations can enter into even the healthiest of gene-pools.
To continue with the medical/biological metaphore. Therefore, one must always be aware that remission and seemingly cure, can be temporary, not permanent and that cancer, amongst other diseases is pernicious, repetitive and metastasing. As the apocryphal statement attributed to Thomas Jefferson both instructs and admonishes, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." Just because one has identified and eliminated a current vector of disease, doesn't mean that there won't be reoccurrence, or that new ones won't develop in the future.
To continue the metaphor further, if one lives in a filthy and unsanitary hovel and doesn't take appropriate care of oneself and one's surroundings, don't expect to recover from any serious illness, instead expect to continue to catch more until one's immune system, so compromised by constant exposure and stress to pathogens, finally succumbs, accompanied at some point in the future by the unfortunate inhabitants of said hovel.
Their UK, equivalents - HopeNotHate and Searchlight - have always do the same: Promoting the most extreme versions of what they claim to oppose. It's their stock in trade.
You're 100% correct. This is an unalloyed boon.
I'd wager that my worldview is a tad conspiratorial for you're liking, but I also wager that you agree:
- Before any news like this broke, both of us could have told people that this happens,
- What we're seeing is just what they got caught doing. There are other groups, and you can stick some zeros on that $3million.
